Items manufactured by Pigs Unlimited International, LLC are available Ex Works Tomball, Texas (our manufacturing facility). This means that the customer is responsible for all shipping-related charges from our facility to the ultimate destination.
As a standard, goods are packed for airfreight. This may include, (depending on the size, style and quantity of items), cardboard boxes, palletizing, and/or individually shrink-wrapped in a heavy-mil ultraviolet-resistant black plastic (as with foam pigs in sizes 16” and larger). Pigs Unlimited International, LLC is capable of containerizing, crating, and other means of packaging, but this will be at an additional cost to the customer, where applicable.
Pigs Unlimited International, LLC has arrangements with several shipping companies, including air, ocean, LTL (less than load) trucking, dedicated load trucking, and local delivery companies in order to offer the best service and price available. If requested by the customer, we are more than willing to offer freight quotations for best service routing and most economical pricing. However, all shipping instructions and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer – even if Pigs Unlimited International, LLC makes recommendations.
If freight is to be “prepaid and add”, freight charges will be added to the invoice total. Upon request, we are able to provide freight quotes, but it must be noted that the final shipping charges may vary from the original quoted amount. The customer will be responsible from the final shipping charges, even if they vary from the quoted amount. Freight companies may adjust their quoted charges for many reasons, including, but not limited to, the final weights and dimensions, truck availability, and the shipping location. This can equate to a substantial change in price. We do everything within our ability to package freight shipments as compact as possible in order to minimize this effect.
Customer assumes all responsibility for goods at time of shipping, which is when the freight is collected for shipment. Pigs Unlimited International, LLC is not responsible for lost or damaged goods. We will aid our customers in making a claim with the freight company and receiving refunds where possible and applicable, but the customer is still responsible for the cost of goods.
