The UFDP solid-cast pig is constructed of high-grade abrasion and chemical resistant solid-cast polyurethane material. It is capable of negotiating tight-radius bends as well as varying internal diameters of nominal pipe. The design of the discs allow the pressure of the line to seat the outer sealing surface of the disc against the internal pipe surface to ensure positive seal. Primarily used for product removal, batching, hydrostatic testing, and paraffin, debris or other buildup removal. Because they are lighter in weight than steel-mandrel pigs, this allows for longer and more efficient runs. Options include cup or cup-and-disc configurations, varying durometers (hardness), transmitter or pinger housing, and magnets.
