Medium-density silicon-carbide spheres are constructed of 5 pound per cubic foot density foam, coated with polyurethane elastomer in criss-cross pattern, and covered with loose silicon-carbide grit bonded to pig. They are used for regular cleaning applications for buildup removal. Options and other configurations include customized diameters for special pigging applications.
