Selecting the Perfect Pig
Pigging lines is essential in maintenance and daily operations of any type of line with a product moving through it. The technology used in pigging is advancing exponentially and our goal is to help provide a framework for our clients to select the best tools for the job. Pigs Unlimited International, Inc. currently manufactures all styles of pigs (foam, steel, and solid-cast) as well as spare components (cups, discs, and brushes). Our main goal is to provide our customers with the most complete line of pigs and pigging products.
As one of the largest engineered pig manufacturing facilities in the world, Pigs Unlimited International has multiple fabrication shops in metal working, foam and urethane. We can produce or custom make the products that you need. Attached you will find several resources to either help yourself or your client to find the perfect products for your application. The first one is a questionnaire about your line that you can fill out and one of the knowledgeable staff members can assist you in your selection.
There are many different varieties of pigs, but the most critical choice comes down to your goal for pigging the line. From removing debris and internally cleaning the line, to hydro testing, de-watering and corrosion prevention, we have you covered. Below you will find several selection guides, one for each of our fab shops to help you get started in selecting the perfect pig.
